...in which we find the pics of a semi-retired, former-sailboat-living, aging art director with not a whole lot else to do.
Everything was shot with either an iPhone 3G, 4S, 5, 6 and 7, GoPro Hero2, or a Nikon D80 with 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 and 70-300mm 4-5.6 AF lenses.
With a few exceptions, all bird photography was done with the Nikon D80 strapped to the back of my beloved "Large Marge"—a 35 year-old Nikkor 300mm 2.8 lens, with either a 1.4x or 2x teleconverter.
All manual exposure and focus.
The few exceptions were shot with the Nikkor 70-300mm 4-5.6 AF lens.
The photos of Birch Island were shot with a point-and-shoot Nikon 950. I still love that little camera.
